SALES + INSURANCE
It is recommended, but not mandatory, that artists price their artwork for sale. The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (M-NCPPC) will retain 25% commission on all artwork sold during or as a result of the exhibition; if artists wish to receive a specific amount for their work, they must add the 25% on top of that to come up with the sales price (multiply artist’s price by 1.3).
The M-NCPPC will insure all consigned artwork in the custody of Montpelier Arts Center from official delivery dates to pick-up dates only. Insurance coverage is limited to $300 per work. Montpelier will not be responsible for any loss or damage of any artwork outside of official delivery and pick-up dates.
